Umbrella Rock is closed to the public now. A few months ago there was a group (don't remember who) that had a fund raiser Umbrella Rock was open and you could get your picture made. I thought it would be neat to have another generation pictured at Umbrella Rock but you could not go out to the rock unless you were with their group (which required you to pay $50 I think). Then you had to pay another $50 to have a picture made.

I have always thought this building over the railroad bridge over the Tennessee River was neat. As a kid I remember wondering what it would be like to go inside this building or maybe to live there.

Today the mountain top was visible! You can see just a little of the clouds below the mountain top. Still getting RAIN!!
